For most Landscaping projects we would strongly recommend that a qualified Garden Designer or Architect be employed. This ensures that the Customer can see exactly what the finished garden is likely to look like and can make suggestions or alterations to the layout of the garden with the designer to achieve the garden that the Customer really wants.
Professional garden design also has huge benefits for us as Landscape Contractors; we are able to put together a very accurate costing for the project as well as having precise specifications to work from whilst the work is being carried out.
Here is a typical example of how a Landscaping project could be carried out.
Sketch Design.
The Client provides their own home drawn sketch design, or a professional garden designer provides a sketch design that will provide inspiration for the project in hand, but is not to scale or supplied with set specifications. Hewlett Turf & Landscapes can then offer advice and a free quotation.
Professional Comprehensive Garden Design.
A Qualified Garden Designer or Landscape Architect is employed to carry out a full-blown design.
We work closely with a number of excellent Garden Designers and would be happy to recommend one to suit your particular project.
The normal procedure would be:
• Initial Consultation visit. (usually free)
• A Survey carried out by a Qualified Surveyor or by the Designer to determine the exact dimensions and levels of the existing site.
• An outline plan is drawn.
• A hard landscape plan and specifications are drawn.
• A Planting Plan is drawn.
Hewlett Turf & Landscapes Ltd offer a quotation to carry out the work.
