The main works were installing a brick path around an 80 square metre lawn in the back garden and creating a 45 square metre lawn, plus a 20 metre long Yew hedge in the front garden.

We were very pleased with the work carried out by Hewlett Turf over a four day period in transforming our garden from a neglected grassed area into a level lawn. The work included the removal of a concrete path and small tree; the garden was then dug over and prepared for seeding. A flowerbed measuring approx 22 metres x 2 metres was also created.Dan, Sam and George were pleasant and formed a hardworking team . The work was completed on schedule and the site left immaculate. We just have to wait for the grass seed to germinate. We would certainly recommend this company to anyone with a landscaping project in mind.

After 3 years in our new build home I finally got tired of trying to fix the badly laid lawn left by the developers, which never took. Hewlett have done an excellent job to rectify the problems. They rotavated, levelled and smoothed out the surface, removed large rocks and reseeded. Throughout the process they were polite, punctual and completed the work within the expected timescale to a high standard. I was grateful to Ian for his advice on the flower bed border design and also many thanks for removing the huge rock pile behind the shed too (which they didn't have to do)! I was advised by Hewlett not to water the lawn, which was good advice as the dew and intermittent rainfall in September, together with the average 15 degC temperature, was perfect for germinating the seed and encouraging deeper root growth. The "before" photo was taken following seeding, the "after" photo is +4 weeks post-seeding. I expect the lawn to get thicker over the next few weeks.Dr Ehsan Gazi

I have used this Company for the third time.First time for turf laying, second time for laying foundations for a substantial Summerhouse and laying a large patio. The third time was to lay decking and foundations for a hottub.Every time the Guys have been reliable, efficient, and very friendly and approachable. The People Behind our success

Jim Hewlett

Jim has started Hewlett Turf & Landscapes in 1987 and is still the owner. As the the Managing Director he is involved in all aspects of each company. He overseas a large team and makes sure that their work is as good is it can be. This is why Hewlett-Turf and the other companies in our group is different to many franchises on the market. Our reputation is in Jim’s name, not some brand’s.

In 2006 Jim launched Lawntech, a lawn care company which now provides lawn care services to thousands of homes in the south of England.

In 2014 we created our online garden products shop thelawnstore.co.uk which provides lawn turf and many other garden products to trade and domestic customers nationwide.

Customer Service

Abi carries out customer service in our Dinton office and depot. Always a cheerful voice at the end of the phone and can also be found whizzing around the yard on the forklift helping to load vehicles with much needed turf supplies.

Sherry Hewlett

Director/Office Manager

Sherry is a company Director for Hewlett Turf and Landscapes and sister company The Lawn Store. Manages the Dinton Depot and office supporting Operations Manager, Dan Sharpe.

Dan Sharpe

Operations Manager

Dan has been a key member of our team for over 9 years and is our estimator and operations manager. When you book an estimate appointment Dan will be happy to advise on your project and work up a quotation for your project.

Rob Lloyd

Yard Manager, Heavy Goods Driver, Landscaper, Mechanic

Rob has worked for Hewlett Turf & Landscapes for over 15 years. He is our HGV driver and carries out general landscaping as well as the mechanical maintenance of our fleet of machinery.

Ryan Searle

Hard & Soft Landscaper

Ryan is a general landscaper who graduated through our trainee programme in partnership with Sparsholt Horticultural College. He has progressed though the ranks over 9 years and is now an established hard landscaper creating beautiful patios and driveways.

Matt Hale

General Landscaper

Matt is a all-round general landscaper assisting with soft and hard landscaping. He has vast knowledge in lawns following a long career as a lawn care technician and has enjoyed crossing over into landscaping in recent years where he has been developing his skills.

Ashleigh Woodvine

General Landscaper

Ashleigh Joined us in 2022 as a mature trainee landscaper, assisting in soft and hard landscaping. His organisational skills from a previous career have helped him develop into a very useful landscaper who enjoys seeing jobs through to a high standard for our customers.

Tom Digby

Hard Landscaper/Bricklayer

Tom has a lifetime of experience in building and hard landscaping creating beautiful garden walling, paving and hard landscape structures. A valuable member of our hard landscaping team who can set up and manage a garden landscape project from start to finish.
