Outdoor Living Area in Coombe Bissett

Our latest little winter project is to create an outdoor living area in a sunny corner of a cottage garden in Coombe Bissett, nr Salisbury.  The client requested a secluded patio area for lounge chairs and a gas fire pit, as well as a concrete base for their new dream summerhouse.  Work started by clearing an overgrown corner of the garden and removing an old hedge.  The hedge was replaced by an oak sleeper retaining wall and Close Board fence, much to the delight of the long suffering neighbours.  The ground was levelled using an excavator and concrete bases poured for the new summerhouse and shed.  A generous 4m x 4m sandstone patio has been laid with a handmade Cedar trellis screen to enclose the area.  To keep things au-natural in this beautiful corner of Wiltshire, we have installed Wildflower Border Turf on the bank and surrounding area which will encourage butterflies and bees in the summer and should look very attractive whilst sipping Pimms on the terrace on a hot sunny day!

Keep an eye out for future updates and photos of this project
