Company Bio

Jim Hewlett started Hewlett Turf and Landscapes in 1987 as a one-man band and is still the owner now. As the Managing Director he is involved in all aspects of each company. He oversees a large team and makes sure that their work is as good as it can be.

This is why Hewlett-Turf and the other companies in our group are different to many landscape companies on the market – our reputation is in Jim’s name, not some brand’s. Within a few years the business grew to become a small team providing landscaping services around the Salisbury area.

By the mid-nineties we had expanded to produce high quality lawn turf, both for our own customers and landscaping and also to supply nearby local gardening businesses. We became known increasingly as a supplier that could be trusted for quality work and supplies, and provide services throughout the areas of Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.

Today, along with his team of experts in soft landscaping, constructive and greenkeeping, Jim Hewlett leads our continued drive to provide beautiful landscaping for our customers, with a specialism in turf and seed lawns.

Seeing an opportunity to help our existing customers, and many new customers, with lawn maintenance, Jim launched Lawntech in 2006. Lawntech now offers lawn care services all across the South of England, with a growing team of expert staff who specialise in the weather and soil in their own unique regional service area.

Furthermore, in 2014 Jim launched The Lawn Store, offering local click and collect ordering for lawn turf, lawn seeds and other gardening products to both residential and commercial customers in the area.
